JOB Description – Network Provisioning Engineer
Responsibilities for:
• Planning, consulting, implementation, configuration, and troubleshooting of complex redundant and secure multi-layer customer networks in AT&T Global Hosting Data Centers.
• Interfaces with customers, vendors and internal groups to develop good relationships through the delivery of superior products/services.
• Proactively track order status in cooperation with the Project Implementation Manager team,
• Communicates and interacts with clients and vendors on provisioning and installation issues.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, OSI Model, CIDR and LAN/WAN protocols.
• Experience with configuring and troubleshooting OSPF, HSRP, VRRP, Hot-standby and BGP
• Extensive network troubleshooting background.
• Familiarity with firewall theory and configuration/troubleshooting: Checkpoint on Nokia, Cisco PIX.
• Solid understanding of network routing concepts and practical experience configuring following protocols on Foundry and Cisco routers, switches and server load balancers.
• Includes researching of applications on various platforms and traffic flows, including gathering and planning for security requirements for network designs.
• Ensures timely delivery of services, has dedicated customer focus and is able to deal with escalations daily.
Mandatory Skills:
• Advanced experience configuring Cisco:
Routers (2600, 3600, 3700, 6500, 7200, 7500, 7600 and 12000 series),
Switches (Catalyst 2950 and 3550, CSS 11501, 11503 and 11506 Load Balancers)
• Highly skilled with configuring and supporting Foundry BigIron, FastIron and ServerIron XL, GTE and 450 switches
Desirable Skills:
• 3-5 years Network engineering experience
• Ability to provision and troubleshoot network devices in an IDC.
• Experience configuring and supporting single and high availability Nortel/Alteon 2208, 2216, 2424, 2424-SSL and 3408 Load Balancers and 3050 and 3070 SSL Accelerators.
• Familiarity with the underlying technology and provisioning process of Telco circuits (Frame Relay, T1, T3, OC3).
• Working knowledge of Unix commands and operations (vi, grep, tail/ssh/telnet/dig). Understanding of principles involved in DNS configuration
• Understanding of server level applications and concepts.
• Network Visio, Geolink and IP Tool design and documentation.
JOB Description – Network Control Specialist
Responsibilities:
• Software upgrades to network nodes, MSC, RNC/BSC, BTS/Node B, SGSN, and VM,
• Recognizing, troubleshooting and responding to network problems.
• Review scheduled work and ensure all documentation is complete, approved, and accurate.
• Adhere to provided and approved Method of Procedures (MOP) for software loading
• Perform pre-work, software loads, and post change service validation per the approved Method of Procedure.
• Quickly realize and remedy procedural or integration related issues with Supervisory and/or defined next level support.
• Document / track work activity performed.
Mandatory Skills:
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal
• Experience with technologies used in telecommunications services.
• Wireless Network Operations experience.
• Ability to operate well in an international environment, multicultural environment
• Reliability, responsiveness and flexibility, communication skills, high motivation, teamwork skills
Desirable Skills:
• Cisco Networking (CCNA is advantage)
• Knowledge of UNIX based Platforms and applications
• Knowledge of GSM, UMTS, LTE
• Knowledge of AOTS, CTS, OSS
